We are excited to welcome Denny Sargent, well known in the magical community as Aion 131, to the fold.  Aion’s contributions go back decades and cover an extensive number of subjects.

Being the tease we are, we’ll announce what we have in store for you as we get further along in production. We hope to have a rather interesting special edition ready this year.

A warm reception so far for Ethics and the Craft

I am pleased with the warm reception my pet project – now book (Ethics and the Craft) – has received so far.

I began this research almost a decade ago when I realized many key elders in the Craft were crossing the veil and taking with them their first-hand experiences.  It is often long after their passing that we find the questions we wish we could have asked – all those little things they probably take for granted which we would consider historical gems.  It was also becoming more and more difficult (and expensive) to locate older books and newsletters which provide a glimpse into the days before the Internet.

In book form, I like to think my research will more readily find itself safely on the shelves of those who may one day seek to learn more about their roots, and the story of Wiccan ethics – to me at least – is a topic that deserves more attention than it has seen.  The catch phrases are plastered on bumper stickers and t-shirts, but one rarely sees much more than a few sentences dedicated to the subject, so this project is my way of giving back to the Craft for future generations.

Of course, my research is never done, so I also hope the book will encourage other elders – known and the simple long-timers – to come out and share their memories with me, and perhaps point me toward source material I may have missed.

We plan to do Seattle again…

The Esoteric Book Conference is in the planning stages for 2010 to be held this September.  We plan to attend again and look forward to seeing everyone!  Hopefully this time we can spend a little more time in town to enjoy the city and people.

We are happy to welcome Frederick J. Veldma, Ph.D. to the fold.  Information on his book Theurgy and Number: Purification, Liberation, and Salvation of the Soul planned for Spring 2010 will be released over next few weeks.
